"Make Memories" Box

For this project, we were asked to create something that would be held together by fasteners. This meant we could not use any glue and had to make use of three different kinds of mechanical fasteners: a press fit, a fastener lap joint, and a fastener corner joint. To accomplish this, I created a box I could use as storage but also as a way to prop my phone up. My biggest inspiration was a polaroid camera and accomplishing the 3D lens took a lot of trial and error due to the no glue restriction. The fabricated box was made of a mix of 1/4 acrylic and 1/4 MDF. Below you can find my final CAD renderings and the fabricated box.
